The itinerant exhibition “Sustainability and Citizenship”, is a responsible exercise for promoting dialogue, interaction and for transferring knowledge to the populations of Galiza and northern Portugal.
Create a genuine pole of development and scientific research, and an innovation center of excellence in a Euro-regional scope, for Promotion of Environmental and Urbanistic Policies in the Atlantic Axis. This is the main objective of the Urban Ecology Agency of the Atlantic Axis of the Northwest Peninsular.
The creation of this Agency resulted from the common will of the 34 municipalities that take part on the Atlantic axis, from their commitment and from a unified strategy for promoting of environmental and urbanistic policies. This will be done in the Euro-regional space, in the areas of Climate, Economic, Social and Ecological Sustainability as well as in improving the life quality of citizens.
This project was submitted to European Community funds and granted with 384.000.00 euros for the next two years.

Knowledge of individual and collective responsibilities for, either rural or urban, physical space’s future and evolution. Local economy awareness and knowledge of its relation with larger scales ones, and the relevance of each individual in its development.
This exhibition should also, and of no least importance, become and project itself as a sustainability manifest.
Last of all, this exhibition is intended as urbane, in the sense, it acts for and with its public.

A exposição itinerante “Sustentabilidade e Cidadania”, configura-se num exercício responsável de promoção do diálogo, da interacção e comunicação com as populações da Galiza e Norte de Portugal.
Criar um verdadeiro pólo de desenvolvimento e investigação científica e um centro de inovação de excelência de âmbito Euro – Regional, em matéria de Promoção de Políticas Ambientais e Urbanísticas do Eixo Atlântico, é o grande objectivo da Agência de Ecologia Urbana do Eixo Atlântico do Noroeste Peninsular.
O projecto para a criação desta Agência, que resultou da vontade comum expressa pelos 34 Municípios que integram o Eixo Atlântico, do compromisso e da aposta estratégica conjunta na promoção de Políticas Ambientais e Urbanísticas, no espaço Euro-regional, em áreas como o Ambiente, Sustentabilidade Económica, Social e Ecológica, e melhoria da Qualidade de Vida dos cidadão.
Este projecto foi objecto de uma candidatura aos Fundos Comunitários, tendo sido comparticipado em 384 mil euros, para os 2 anos seguintes.
A exposição itinerante “Sustentabilidade e Cidadania”, configura-se num exercício responsável de promoção do diálogo, de interacção, comunicação e passagem de conhecimento às populações.
Conhecimento sobre a responsabilidade individual e colectiva que todos temos na evolução e futuro desse espaço físico, urbano ou rural.
Conhecimento sobre a economia local, na sua relação com economias de maior escala, bem como da importância de cada indivíduo na sua construção.
Esta exposição deveria, também e não menos importante, configurar-se e projectar-se enquanto manifesto de sustentabilidade.
Por último, esta exposição, pretende-se urbana, no sentido que actua para e com o seu público.
